Macao Legend Development, a Hong Kong-listed casino services company, will soon unveil a proposal for a so-called integrated resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia, that euphemistically represents a place with a mix of casino space and non-gaming facilities.
David Chow Kam Fai, the company’s co-chairman and chief executive officer, said on Wednesday. He also promised to “speed up” the development of the Laos casino resort project next to the Saban Legend Resort Hotel and Entertainment Complex, which is currently operating in Laos.
At the company’s annual general meeting, Mr Chow said Macau Legends was buying land to develop a “integrated resort” project in Cambodia. He did not elaborate on the casinos. He added that it was an “ongoing process” that included help from an “international law firm.”
“The land purchase is almost complete. Regarding important issues such as project size and other related questions, I believe we will be able to disclose them in two to three months,” Mr. Chow said, referring to the Siem Reap plan. He did not give further details about the facilities.
Siem Reap is a popular tourist destination close to the ancient temple complex in Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“We will be clear on land transactions and development directions within this year,” added Macao Legend executive. 카지노사이트
Some promotional exhibits at the corporate showroom in Fisherman’s Wharf, Macau, referred to the name “Hidden Legend” in relation to the Siem Reap Resort, featuring the artist’s impression of a gold building of up to seven stories with two wings stretching from the central structure to the resort, the latter crowned by six turrets with a small cupola surrounding one large dome.
