Major League Baseball owners have approved the move to Oakland.

Major League Baseball’s official website MLB reported on the 17th (Korea time) that “the Oakland Athletics’ relocation to Las Vegas was unanimously approved at the Major League owners’ meeting.”

According to MLB , Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the issue of Oakland’s relocation was unanimously approved after a meeting of owners. Oakland needed more than 75 percent approval to relocate.

“I know it’s a terrible day for the fans in Oakland, so we’re taking every precaution to avoid a move,” Commissioner Manfred said. “It was the same in this case, but it was impossible to sustain a club in Oakland. “There has been tremendous support for the Athletics in hosting a team, and we believe Las Vegas will be a long-term resource for Major League Baseball.”

The Athletics team agreed to build a new stadium in Las Vegas last May, paving the way for the relocation. The Nevada State Legislature approved a plan to spend about $380 million to build the stadium. The new stadium is scheduled to be built with 30,000 seats at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. 안전놀이터

However, the problem remains. MLB.com said, “The Athletics team has a contract to use the Oakland Coliseum until 2024. It has not yet been decided where the Athletics will play after 2024. The new stadium in Las Vegas is scheduled to open after 2028.”
